The Chic Summit took up residency at 50th Parallel Estate and Delta Grand Hotel Feb. 2 and 3, 2024, hosting 200+ women across the two day event. Influential speakers from BC, Alberta, the US and the UK hosted thought-provoking discussions and practical workshops to support female leaders and business owners from across the Okanagan Valley.
The event tackled a range of topics from cultivating grit and overcoming imposter syndrome to the true cost of success and financial literacy. For his keynote speech, former NHL player turned mindset coach Aaron Volpatti shared not only his life story but also the impact women have had in supporting his growth.
Other noteworthy speakers included joyful Content Creator Breanne Allarie, Senior Vice President, ATB Wealth Senior Vice-President Sherri Wright-Schwietz, Csek Media Agency CEO Nikki Csek, PR Expert Renee Warren, Women’s Health Advocate Kim Vopni, UBCO Professor Dr Lesley Lutes and US-Based Executive Coach Sally Phillips.
Local artist Tamara Hall was on site creating two live art pieces over the two days to embody the energy of the Okanagan Valley that were ultimately auctioned off raising $800 for Helen’s Acres and $800 for Dress for Success.
Other artists and designers set up pop-up shops to curate a chic vibe for shopping and supporting local female businesses, included Shisako, Wolf & Women Jewelry Okanagan Blankets, WeBC, Vic & Jo Tea, Grace & Flow, Audax Boutique, WeWildWomen, and Art of Marina.
Over $1,000 in gifting was given to each attendee including items from Billion Dollar Beauty, La Creme Skincare Boutique, BC Wine Passport, Hillberg & Berk, MisMack Cosmetics, Glo Anti-Aging Youth Lab and Art by Marina.
After a day of learning and connecting, attendees gathered back at the Delta Grand by Marriott, for The Chic Summit by Night, at Oak & Cru. With local artist DJ Vie spinning the beats, attendees enjoyed sips from the portfolio of Iconic Wines, with a Chic75 cocktail, wine from Mission Hill, Check Mate, and Cedar Creek to name a few. The networking, chef-inspired food stations and high-vibes made it a night to remember.
